The story of present day moose in RMNP did not get started until 1978. Before 1978 there is some debate if moose were considered residents of the park. Discuss why there is debate and where the present day population came from. Find out what they eat, their seasonal behavior, why some wear radio collars, and their impact on the delicate willow communities of Kawuneeche Valley. Discuss the present and future park management of this charismatic species.
