This field-based class provides a basic introduction to paleontology, the study of ancient life on earth and the fossils that remain. Receive training in paleontological field methods, fossil preparation, documentation, and specimen curation. Field trips to the Florissant Fossils Beds National Monument and a local fossil quarry for a hands-on experience of collecting fossils in the field. You may keep the fossi;s you collect at the commercial quarry.
